Nintendo gave Sony Corp. a poke in the eye Tuesday morning by announcing an agreement with Warner Bros., Walt Disney Co. and DreamWorks to deliver stereoscopic 3-D movies to Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS hand-held console.

WASHINGTON – Federal regulators have allowed a new online exchange to proceed to trade future box-office receipts for movies. A divided Commodity Futures Trading Commission approved by Monday’s deadline the proposed futures contracts for the new Trend Exchange.

LOS ANGELES (MCT) – Federal regulators have granted a controversial waiver to the Hollywood studios that clears the way for them to show first-run movies in the home shortly after or even during their release in theaters.
